Support
Help keep these guides free.
Inheriting Islam runs four free websites for Muslim families, with a fifth in development. No advertising, no paywall, cookie-free analytics only. Monthly support pays for the verification, corrections and upkeep that keep them accurate, and the small costs that keep them online.
Founding monthly supporters
Choose a tier.
Each budget is built from the hours a site actually takes, and we publish what each one costs. Your chosen amount is charged monthly until you cancel, and nothing about you ever appears on the guide pages.
A third of Muslim households in America live on less than $30,000 a year. The $10 tier exists for them, and for students. If that is you, it is enough.
Supporter
The entry tier. Every one counts toward a site’s budget.
Sustaining sponsor
Choose the site your support goes to.
Patron
For families and businesses. Choose a site, or the whole house.
Cancel future charges any time from your receipt email or by writing to us.
What it costs
What we estimate it takes to keep each site accurate.
Hosting is nearly free. The cost is the hours: re-verifying directories, following law changes, answering the people who write in, and keeping translations honest.
Life Is Temporary
About 840 funeral homes and masajid to re-verify each year, state licensing and law data, the inbox, six language editions, scholar review.
A Room to Pray
About 370 airports to re-check, reader corrections and submissions, new airports.
The Nikāḥ · in development
Marriage-law requirements for 50 US states and the UK nations that change, a UK mosque list, reader questions.
First Adhān
Guidance for a baby’s first days and a names database; corrections and occasional additions.
ʿIddah
A week-by-week guide; scholar corrections and reader questions.
Underwrite the house · $1,750 a month
Every site at once: the verification, corrections and upkeep of all of them, plus hosting, domains and payment fees. For a masjid or a business that wants to carry the whole thing.
What supporters receive
A receipt, a report, and nothing on the guide pages.
- 01
A receipt for every payment
From Stripe when the links are live, and from us by email until then.
- 02
A short yearly report
Costs covered, hours worked, pages published or corrected, visitors served. Numbers, not adjectives.
- 03
Your name only where you want it
No logo and no public thanks unless you ask. A supporters page lists first names and organisations that choose to be named, and any name can be removed on request. The guide pages themselves stay free of every name, because someone reads them on the hardest day of their life.
The honest part
Who you are paying.
Support payments go to Inheriting Islam LLC, a privately owned, for-profit Georgia company, not a tax-exempt nonprofit. They are not deductible as charitable contributions for US federal income tax. They fund our stated programs, including the owner’s development, verification and administration time.
They are voluntary support, sadaqah. We do not accept zakat, so please give your zakat elsewhere.
Fund a project instead
A new language edition, a new guide, or a page your community needs: these are one-off amounts arranged directly, with a written scope and a report at the end.
Or sponsor a Qur’an student
The free Qur’an classes have their own sponsorships: a seat for $65 a month, or a whole community for $520.
