Care plans · from $50 a month
Someone is still here in month eight.
Most websites are not killed by a bad build. They are killed by month eight — when the person who made it has moved on, the prayer times are three weeks stale, nobody remembers the login, and the volunteer who was going to update it had a baby.
A care plan is the arrangement that stops that. It is optional, it has no term, and you keep the site whatever you decide.
What it actually is
A service, not a hostage arrangement.
Some of this industry keeps clients by making leaving expensive — the site sits on a platform you rent, the content is locked in a format you cannot export, and the monthly fee is really the cost of continuing to have a website at all.
That is not what this is. You own the site, the code, the domain and every login from the day it launches, care plan or no care plan. If you cancel, nothing switches off and nothing gets held. You keep exactly what you had the day before.
What you are paying for monthly is attention: someone who watches it, fixes it, updates it, and answers when you write.
The plans
Each one adds to the one above it.
Rather than four columns of repeated ticks, each plan lists only what it adds. Everything below the first line is cumulative — Growth includes all of Essentials and all of Care+.
Essentials
$50 /moThe floor. Enough that the site stays up, stays safe, and stays accurate.
- Hosting, and the domain kept renewed and pointed where it should be
- Security patches and a certificate that never expires quietly on a Friday
- Backups, and a tested way to put yesterday back
- Uptime monitoring — so we find out it is down, not your community
- Routine content edits: prayer and jumuʿah times, events, announcements, a swapped banner
Care+
$100 /moWhat we would put a masjid on. Essentials, plus the two things that actually keep a site from drifting.
Everything in Essentials, plus
- Priority on anything time-sensitive — a janāzah announcement does not wait in a queue
- Seasonal timing handled for you: Ramadan, the clock changes, the calendar rebuild
- A quarterly review together — what is working, what is not, what the next term needs
Growth
$200 /moFor organisations where the website is doing real fundraising and someone needs to know whether it is working.
Everything in Care+, plus
- Analytics in plain language, monthly — what people did, not a dashboard login you will never open
- One newsletter send a month to your own list
- Search visibility and page speed kept under watch, rather than checked once at launch
Growth & Marketing
from $300 /moFor centres running real campaigns across the year, where the seasons carry the budget.
Everything in Growth, plus
- A managed seasonal campaign — the Ramadan push, the Qurbani drive, the year-end appeal
- Content help: writing and editing, not only publishing what you send
- From $300 because campaign scope genuinely varies — quoted in writing before anything starts
Care plans run on auto-pay and can be cancelled whenever you need to. We would rather you stayed because it was worth it than because leaving was made difficult. The one-time build prices are published on the same principle.
The line, drawn
What is included, and what gets quoted.
This is the question that makes people refuse care plans, and it is usually left vague on purpose. So here it is precisely, before you sign anything — nothing on the right will ever appear on a bill you did not agree to first.
Minor — included, every plan
- Prayer, jumuʿah and iqāmah times
- Ramadan timings and the seasonal changes around them
- Events added, updated and taken down
- Announcements, banner swaps, a new photograph
- Text corrections, a board or staff change, a new PDF or form link
There is no per-item counter and no ticket allowance. We only ask that requests stay reasonable, and in practice nobody has ever had to be told what that means.
Major — quoted separately, always in writing
- A whole new page or section of the site
- An event or campaign landing page
- A donation thermometer, or a new giving flow
- A seasonal overhaul of the home page
- Anything that needs designing rather than editing
Most of these are a Boost — $250 to $1,500 for one focused piece of work — or Ramadan-Ready at $500 to $1,500 for the whole season. You will always see the number before it starts.
How fast, honestly
Most requests are turned around within about two business days, and anything time-sensitive jumps ahead of anything that is not. If something will take longer than that, you get told when it will be done rather than left to wonder.
We are two people and we say so everywhere else on this site, so we will say it here too: if you need same-hour response at three in the morning, we are not that service and we would rather tell you now.
If we did not build it
Your site is fine. That is not a reason to have nobody.
Plenty of masajid have a site that works well enough and no rebuild in the budget. That is a completely reasonable position, and it is not a reason to hear from us about a build you do not need.
We take on sites we did not build. We will look at what you have first, tell you honestly whether it can be looked after as it stands, and quote a plan from there.
When the answer is no
Sometimes a site cannot be maintained sensibly — it is on a platform that fights every change, or built in a way where a small edit risks breaking something else. In that case we will say so and tell you what we would actually do, even when the answer is "nothing, for now, and here is what to watch."
A repair without a relationship
If you want one thing fixed rather than an ongoing arrangement — a slow site, a broken mobile layout, a donation page that loses people — that is a Boost, one payment, no plan attached. Tell us what is wrong and we will price it.
The year
A masjid's website has a calendar, not a launch date.
Most of what a community's site is asked to do lands in five windows, and all five are known months ahead. The plans exist so somebody is preparing for them instead of reacting to them.
-
Rajab and Shaʿbān
Before the season, not during it
The timetable, the campaign page and the giving flow are built and tested while there is still time to fix them. A Ramadan page started in Ramadan has already lost the first ten nights.
-
Ramadan
The nights that decide the year
Timings that stay right every single day, a donation flow that holds up on the last ten nights, and daily changes turned around fast — because this is the month where most of the year's giving actually happens.
-
Dhul-Hijjah
Qurbani, and a hard deadline
Orders close when they close. The page has to be up early, the cut-off has to be obvious, and someone has to take it down cleanly afterwards.
-
August and September
Weekend school and enrolment
Registration pages, class times, fees and forms — the part of the site parents judge you on, all needed in the same fortnight every year.
-
November and December
The year-end appeal
Tax-deductible giving before the thirty-first, which for many American nonprofits is the second-largest window in the calendar and the one most often left unprepared.
What is underneath
The software costs almost nothing. That is deliberate.
Sites are built to run on hosting that is free or nearly free, with forms, email sending and analytics chosen from tiers that cost a small community nothing. There is no licence you have to keep buying and no platform charging per visitor.
So the monthly figure is not rent on your own website. It is a person's time. For a lot of organisations the care plan costs less than the platform it replaces — and unlike that platform, cancelling it does not take the site with it.
Where your money should not be going
A percentage taken from every donation your community makes. A monthly fee to keep prayer times visible. A subscription that ends with you owning nothing.
Those are all real arrangements in this market, and every one of them scales with your success rather than with the work being done. The arithmetic on that is worth two minutes of a treasurer's time.
Before you decide
The questions boards actually ask.
Do we have to take a care plan?
No. It is genuinely optional and the build price does not change if you decline it. Plenty of organisations take the site, run it themselves, and do fine.
What we will tell you honestly is what usually happens without one: nothing, for about six months, and then a year of small wrong details that quietly cost you credibility with your own community.
Can we still edit things ourselves?
Yes, and we train your team at handover regardless of whether you take a plan. The care plan is not access — you always have that. It is for the weeks when the person who knows how is busy, travelling, or has moved on.
Will you look after a site you did not build?
Usually. We look at it first, because sometimes the honest answer is that it cannot be maintained sensibly as it stands. If that is the case we will say so rather than take a monthly fee for something we cannot actually keep healthy.
Is there a contract or a minimum term?
No term and no minimum. It is monthly, on auto-pay, and you can stop it whenever you need to — including for a few months if the budget gets tight, which happens to communities and is not something you will be made awkward about.
What happens to our site if we cancel?
Nothing. You already own the site, the code, the domain and the logins, so cancelling changes who watches it, not who has it. We hand over anything we are holding on your behalf and the site keeps running.
What if we need something big in the middle of a month?
It gets quoted separately and in writing before any work starts. You will never open an invoice with a surprise on it, and there is no scenario where work happens first and the price is discussed afterwards.
Tell us what you already have.
Whether we built it or not. Twenty minutes, a straight answer about whether a plan is worth it for you, and no pitch if the answer is that it is not.
